Football Announces Hiring of Kashif Moore as Wide Receivers Coach

ALBANY, N.Y.  – The University at Albany and Head Coach Greg Gattuso today announced the hiring of Kashif Moore as the team’s Wide Receivers Coach. Moore comes to UAlbany after most recently serving at Cornell University.

“We are very excited to welcome Kashif Moore to our football staff as our wide receiver coach,” said Gattuso. “He was a great player at UConn, and comes in with an array of NFL experience. I remember him being a great competitor in his playing days. He will help mold our receivers into a top unit.”

A four-year letter winner at the University of Connecticut, Moore was elected team captain as a senior and graduated ranked in the top 10 in program history in receptions (126) while registering 1,699 career yards and 13 touchdowns. He competed in three postseason games, including catching four passes for 62 yards against Oklahoma in the 2011 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl – the program’s first-ever BCS Bowl game. He was invited to the 2011 NFL Combine and later signed contracts with Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh and Kansas City.
