Rams’ Odell Beckham Jr. believed to have suffered torn ACL in Super Bowl, per report

Odell Beckham Jr.’s Super Bowl victory might have come at a great cost to the wide receiver.

The Los Angeles Rams wide receiver is believed to have suffered a torn ACL in his team’s 23-20 win Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported.

Beckham, who had two catches for 52 yards and a touchdown earlier in the contest, sustained the non-contact injury in the second quarter, when he crumpled to the ground holding his left knee after being unable to reel in a pass from Matthew Stafford. He walked off but was later ruled out for the remainder of the game, returning to the Rams sideline in street clothes.

After his team’s come-from-behind victory, however, Beckham maintained his optimism.

“World Champion, man, God is good,” Beckham said in an interview with CBS Sports after the game. “It was all a part of the plan.
