Shoulder surgery isn’t expected to impact the trade value of a former New England Patriots quarterback this offseason.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reported Tuesday that San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo would undergo surgery on his throwing shoulder that would potentially sideline him through early summer, but that he is still expected to be dealt this month as the league’s quarterback carousel begins to spin.
Garoppolo sprained his right shoulder in San Francisco’s win over the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC wild-card round but went on to start each of the team’s next two games before bowing out in the NFC Championship Game against the Los Angeles Rams.
