Ravens GM Eric DeCosta talks about potential contract extension with QB Lamar Jackson

The Baltimore Ravens were able to secure their quarterback of the future in the 2018 NFL draft when they took Lamar Jackson with the last pick in the first round. He has turned into a franchise cornerstone, one that the team seemingly hopes to have around for a very long time.

Baltimore Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta spoke to the media on Wednesday during the 2022 NFL Scouting Combine. When asked about a potential extension with their star quarterback, DeCosta talked about how the team will continue to work at the pace of Jackson, something that he’s reiterated before.

“I hope so, at some point, that we will. I think we’ve discussed this at length, and I said this before: We will work at Lamar’s [Jackson] urgency. So, he and I have had ongoing discussions.
