Expectations surrounding Texas’ football program are always high prior to the start of a season, but those may be heightened this offseason due to recent acquisitions.
Not only did the Longhorns bring in the No. 5 recruiting class in the country for the 2022 cycle, Steve Sarkisian and his staff were able to land several immediate impact players via the transfer portal.
Two young minds in running backs coach Tashard Choice and wide receivers coach Brennan Marion were brought in to join the coaching staff. Even former TCU head coach Gary Patterson joined the program as the special assistant to the head coach.
Needless to say, there are many reasons to have hope for Texas football to make major strides next season. Mark Ross of Athlon Sports recently provided Longhorns fans with three reasons to be optimistic about Texas in 2022.
