Top NFL Draft prospect David Ojabo suffers a torn Achilles during Michigan’s Pro Day, per report

David Ojabo, one of the top-rated defensive players in the 2022 NFL Draft, endured an apparent injury Friday during Michigan’s Pro Day. The former Wolverines linebacker was seen laying on the ground grabbing his left leg during a pass rushing drill. Ojabo was eventually helped off the field. 

It’s now being reported Ojabo suffered a torn Achilles, per ESPN, a brutal turn of events for one of the most promising prospects heading into this year’s draft. He is expected to make a full recovery, with doctors comparing his prognosis to that of Los Angeles Rams running back Cam Akers — who returned from a torn Achilles last season in roughly six months.
