Seahawks keeping Rashaad Penny: First-round pick agrees to one-year, $5.75 million deal, per report

The Seattle Seahawks are retaining one of their playmakers on offense, as running back Rashaad Penny has agreed to sign a one-year, $5.75 million deal, per NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport. Penny reportedly turned down more money from other teams to remain with Seattle, and his new one-year deal has a max of $6.5 million.

At $5.75 million, Penny will be the 16th highest-paid running back in the NFL this season, per Over The Cap. The No. 27 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft had a career year this past season, rushing for 749 yards and six touchdowns.
