If Kyler Murray is planning a holdout from the Arizona Cardinals, committing to the franchise long-term isn’t exactly a way to conduct business. While Murray’s agent seeks a new contract with Arizona, Murray will continue to work toward getting the Cardinals to the next level.
“I’m an Arizona Cardinal,” Murray said as he spoke publicly for the first time since the Cardinals’ playoff loss to the Los Angeles Rams, via the Cardinals website. “I’ve done nothing but give my all to the Cardinals and will continue to do that. I’m not really too worried about my future as a Cardinal.”
In the aftermath of the playoff loss, Murray’s agent, Erik Burkhardt, posted a letter he wrote to the Cardinals organization indicating Murray wants to be the Cardinals’ long-term quarterback — but “actions speak louder than words.” Since that letter was published, Deshaun Watson received $230 million guaranteed, Aaron Rodgers $150.665…
