Chiefs rumors: Kansas City attempting to trade for a top receiver; here’s who the team could target

The Kansas City Chiefs traded star wide receiver Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins last week for five draft picks, including a 2022 first-rounder. While Kansas City’s offense is worse off without him, it may have been the right decision considering he was looking for a new deal that would make him the highest-paid receiver in the NFL.

The Chiefs now need to add another dynamic playmaker out wide for Patrick Mahomes to utilize, and that addition could come via trade. On Tuesday, ESPN’s Dianna Russini reported that the Chiefs are actively making phone calls trying to acquire another top wide receiver (H/T Devon Clements of Heavy.com).
