When Tom Brady announced he was returning to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2022, many assumed Rob Gronkowski would follow.
The former New England Patriots tight end hasn’t played for any other NFL starting quarterback, after all, and like Brady, he can still ball: Gronkowski caught 55 passes for 802 yards and six touchdowns for Tampa Bay last season.
So, why not run it back with Brady one more time?
The 32-year-old has refused to commit to playing in 2022, though, and told TMZ Sports he actually avoided catching footballs at a recent charity even so he wouldn’t get the itch to suit up again.
