The Oregon Ducks are in a good position to potentially land a commitment from five-star running back Richard Young, who is among the best players at his position in the 2023 class.
Young, who is ranked as the No. 2 RB in the nation and No. 19 player overall according to 247Sports, announced his top seven on Sunday afternoon, including the Ducks alongside Texas A&M, Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Florida.
While Young is obviously impressed with Oregon early in his recruitment, that love for the Ducks has a chance to grow even stronger. The 5-foot-11, 200-pound Florida native is scheduled to be in Eugene for Oregon’s spring game on April 23. If he experiences the atmosphere at Autzen Stadium, something Dan Lanning has stressed is of the utmost importance for prospective recruits, we could see the Ducks become the front-runner to land this elite recruit.
