Jacobe Johnson is a 6-foot-3, 170-pound athlete from Mustang, Oklahoma. He is a top-100 player in the rankings from ESPN and On3.
He is a two-sport athlete for the Mustang Broncos (yes, that is the name of the team). He plays football and basketball and holds Division I offers in both sports. Johnson played wide receiver early for the Broncos, but recently he has been more of a defensive back.
He could play either side of the ball at the next level: He has a good frame and great ball skills. Brian Kelly is going to have to pull off some recruiting magic to land Johnson though because he is from the heart of Oklahoma and is being recruited heavily by the Oklahoma Sooners and the Oklahoma State Cowboys as well as most of the teams in Texas.
LSU has the 35th-best recruiting class in the country for 2023 with only two commitments. Johnson would be a nice add to that list.
