The Big 12’s nonconference schedule gives us plenty of games to look forward to in the fall.
Texas will host Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide in Week 2. This marks the first meeting between the two schools since the 2010 BCS National Championship.
Oklahoma will make the trip to Nebraska in another battle of blue blood programs. The Sooners will be up against a familiar face at quarterback for the Huskers in former Longhorn Casey Thompson. This lost rivalry game will be new Oklahoma head coach Brent Venables’ first major test of the season.
The Baylor and BYU matchup will give fans a preview of the future of the conference in Week 2. Both programs are looking to build on successful 2021 seasons.
The Big 12 as a whole has done a much better job of scheduling competitive games in recent years. Here is a full look at every Big 12 team’s 2022 nonconference slate. The bold indicates the toughest matchups.
