The biggest question for each team heading into 2022

Several teams have already completed their spring season with the annual spring game scrimmage. Others still have their games coming up in the latter part of the month of April.

As we head towards the summer, we take a look at the upcoming season for each SEC team. More importantly, we examine the biggest question for each of the SEC’s 14 teams.

The 2021 campaign saw the usual suspects with the Alabama Crimson Tide taking on the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC title game and the CFP national championship. Is there a surprise team that steals the spotlight in 2022?

SEC West: Alabama Crimson Tide

There are few questions looming over the Crimson Tide program before the 2022 season kicks off. While one of the biggest is the offensive line, Alabama will be bringing in transfer Tyler Steen from Vanderbilt and returning others. The wide receiver corps is as new as new can get for this team. Jermaine Burton is the most experienced player in the unit as a junior but will be transferring in from Georgia. Other spots will be filled with underclassmen who saw minimal playing time in 2021. SEC West: Arkansas Razorbacks

Arkansas football took its biggest step forward in a decade with last year’s 9-4 season. Another such year and the Razorbacks might be considered legitimate contenders. At least, contenders when it comes to teams regularly ranked in the Top 25. It’s been ages since that was the case in Fayetteville. But to make it a reality, Arkansas has to find a bona fide passing game. The rushing attack will be good, if not stellar, in 2022, but replacing upwards of 70 percent of the receptions and yards through the air…
