Korey Foreman feels a lot more liberated under Lincoln Riley

It stands to reason that when a promising football player gets a significant upgrade in coaching, his outlook becomes a lot more positive.

Stress and tension flow out of the body and mind, and a more grounded and centered mindset emerges.

Worries about the past fade away, and a workmanlike focus on the present moment becomes more evident. Out with the bad energy, in with the healthy vibes.

Such appears to be the case with USC pass rusher Korey Foreman.

The ballyhooed recruit came to Los Angeles with great expectations, but he walked into the trainwreck of Clay Helton’s truncated final season and the interim tenure of Donte Williams, with Todd Orlando calling defensive signals. The 2021 season was a washout, and Foreman was not used or developed well by the coaches he had.

In came Lincoln Riley and defensive coordinator Alex Grinch. Foreman now has a good chance of being developed and used properly. He seems to see and feel the difference in coaching staffs:

Hopefully Foreman will play like a liberated player. He certainly is speaking like one, which is great news for USC.
