The buildup for the NFL draft is all about the first-round picks, but championship teams are built when the dollars aren’t guaranteed and some of the league’s all-time greats have been third-round picks.
Philadelphia will have two third-round picks in next week’s NFL draft and that selection could be used to target a wide receiver or cornerback depending on how Thursday night turns out.
In 2021, the Eagles landed Milton Williams, and in 2020, Philadelphia took a risk on Davion Taylor.
With the draft a little over a week away, here’s every No. 101 overall pick since 2010.

A star at Syracuse, Williams had 24 receptions for a team-leading 461 yards and four touchdowns in 10 games as a true freshman. As a sophomore in 2007 Williams was an All-Big East second-team selection. He finished the season tying a school record with 60 receptions for 837 yards and ten touchdowns in 12 games.
Williams was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the fourth round (101st overall) in the 2010 NFL Draft.
Williams started all 16 games as a rookie and had 65 receptions for 964 yards and 11 touchdowns. His 11 touchdowns marked a new Buccaneers franchise record for most receiving touchdowns in a single season. Williams finished second in voting for AP Offensive Rookie of the Year and was a finalist for the NFL Pepsi Rookie of the Year.
It was all downhill from there and Williams was out of the league by 2016.
2011: Bengals — Clint Boling, OG, Georgia

A fourth-round draft pick in 2011, Boling started 109 games for the Bengals, including every game over his last two seasons. While Boling played mostly guard, he was asked to move to tackle at times before retiring due to a blood clot.
