Bengals get Tyler Linderbaum and more in new 2022 NFL mock draft

Tyler Linderbaum out of Iowa has been one of the most common names linked to the Cincinnati Bengals in mock drafts ahead of the 2022 NFL draft.

And itโ€™s not hard to see why โ€” heโ€™s the best center in the class and one of the best linemen outright, though how teams treat Round 1 means he could fall to No. 31.

Thatโ€™s just what happens in the latest three-round mock fromย Draft Wireโ€™s Luke Easterling:

โ€œEven after loading up on veteran blockers in free agency, the Bengals should be elated to add Linderbaum here as the cherry on top. While some will complain about his lack of arm length, the film simply shows a smart, dominant blocker who would finish off the AFC champsโ€™ rebuild in the trenches to protect Joe Burrow.โ€

At this point, Linderbaum would make a ton of sense merely because it would finalize the team upgrading all four spots of need on the offensive line.

Whatโ€™s usually more interesting is what happens in a mock draft after that.

The other two picks:

63. Cincinnati Bengals | UTSA CB Tariq Woolen
95. Cincinnati Bengals | Arkansas DL John Ridgeway

Woolen isย veryย interesting given his 6โ€™4โ€ณ frame and 4.26 40-yard dash speed. Heโ€™s raw, but the Bengals can afford to wait on the development while rotating him with the likes of Eli Apple. And Ridgeway has some interesting upside that the defense could use at different spots along the line in interesting ways.

The big takeaway? Nobody would leave a Bengals draft class that goes offensive line and defense twice surprised, which is a good thing.
