While Oklahoma’s spring game was more about the coaching staff evaluating the team as it wraps up spring ball, we still think there were a few exemplary performances or players that caught our eye as we head into summer.
As we do during the season, we’ll be highlighting our three stars from this weekend’s spring game. With so many leaving for the draft or transferring, the Sooners are in need of players they can depend on in 2022.
The environment and the format created a game that carried some extra energy.

75,360 fans piled into Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium to set a new spring game attendance record and put college football on notice. Oklahoma isn’t going anywhere.
With the SEC move on the horizon, Brent Venables put out the challenge to Sooners fans and the fans responded in a big way to set an Oklahoma record for spring game attendance and put the best foot of the program forward for recruits.
It was an incredible environment, one that had everyone buzzing.
