According to Draft Wire editor Luke Easterling, Thompson is the lone Texas Longhorn to make the top 300 prospects list. There was no mention of punter/kicker Cameron Dicker on the list for Easterling. No specialists even made the cut.

According to Draft Wireβs cornerback rankings, Thompson checks in at No. 36. Just ahead of him is former Texas cornerback Jalen Green who was listed at No. 29.

The Texas Longhorns menβs basketball team could be one step closer to adding another point guard. Iowa State point man Tyrese Hunter revealed his top six transfer destinations with Chris Beard and the Horns firmly in the mix. Texas is joined by a fellow Big 12 team, the Kansas Jayhawks among the top teams. Hunter also named Gonzaga, Louisville, Purdue, and Tennesee on his list of top destinations.
