Cornerback has been a position of concern for the Dallas Cowboys since the departure of CB Byron Jones to the Dolphins after the 2019 season. Third-year CB Trevon Diggs broke out in 2021 but has very apparent strengths and weaknesses that require a reliable partner across from him to offset his aggressive nature. Veteran CBs Anthony Brown and Jourdan Lewis have both struggled to consistently string performances together to really take hold of that opposite outside corner spot and have their contracts expiring in the near future.
