Draft day is finally here, and it’s still anyone’s guess as to what the Falcons will do with their first-round pick tonight. Both Arthur Smith and Terry Fontenot have stated their desire to come away from the draft with a quarterback, but will the team select one in the first round?
Check out our latest Falcons mock roundup as analysts make their final predictions ahead of the 2022 NFL draft.
Nate Davis – WR, Garrett Wilson – Ohio State

Here we see another receiver mocked to the Falcons, and this time it’s USA TODAY’s Nate Davis projecting Ohio State’s Garrett Wilson in round one.
“If Fontenot sticks and picks, the 2021 trade of Julio Jones, 2022 suspension of Calvin Ridley and free agent departure of Russell Gage may move wideout right to the top of his wish list. After laying down a 4.38-second 40-yard dash at the combine, the 6-foot, 183-pound Wilson bolstered the argument he might be the top pass-catching prospect in a very extensive class of them,“ wrote Davis.

Thor Nystrom – WR, Drake London – USC

NBC Sports Edge’s Thor Nystrom jumps on the receiver bandwagon and pegs Drake London to Atlanta. This is becoming a pretty common assumption, and while doesn’t mean much at this point, it does show that many people recognize the hole at receiver is much bigger than any other position on the roster.
“Atlanta’s affinity for London has been well-reported, and the Falcons’ hollowed-out receiving corps is crying out for legitimate help. Atlanta is absolutely sniffing around quarterbacks, but in this exercise, they hold off – mostly due to circumstance. As it’s been explained to me, the Falcons prefer to use their first pick on a different position, and, according to one source, like Desmond Ridder as an option later on,” wrote Nystrom.
