Every player selected at No. 70 in the last 10 NFL drafts

The Jacksonville Jaguars traded their second-round selection to come up for Utah linebacker Devin Lloyd on Thursday, so they will enter Friday without a Round 2 selection. However, they do have two Round 3 picks still with selections No. 65 and 70.

Earlier this month, we looked at every pick selected within the last 10 years with the No. 1, 33, and 65 selections (all of which the Jags had coming into Thursday), and now with Day 2 of the draft here it’s time to do the same for No. 70.

The franchise last held the 70th overall pick in 2012. It was quite a memorable one where Jacksonville selected punter Bryan Anger. Ten years later, it’s still baffling that the organization used a third-round draft choice on a punter.

The pick didn’t age well, either. This was also the NFL draft where the Seattle Seahawks picked up a franchise quarterback five picks later in Russell Wilson. Imagine the Jaguars with Wilson during their 2017 playoff run.

Some other notable players selected at No. 70 include Los Angeles Rams running back Darrell Henderson, Miami Dolphins safety Brandon Jones, and San Francisco 49ers linebacker Fred Warner.

Check out the other six players that were selected with the 70th overall pick in the last 10 seasons.
