A multiple-time FCS national champion, Watson was named second-team FCS All-America by the Associated Press at receiver in 2021, following first-team honors as a kick returner in 2020, when he brought back two kickoffs for TDs.
After losing Davante Adams and Marquez Valdes-Scantling this offseason, the Packers welcome Watson to a receiver room that boasts Randall Cobb, Allen Lazard, Sammy Watkins and 2021 third-round pick Amari Rodgers.
Watson’s father, Tim, was a Packers draft pick back in 1993.
Watson’s selection came after the Packers drafted Georgia linebacker Quay Walker at No. 22 and defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt at 28 on Thursday night.
