Best available players for Bucs on Day 3

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers kicked off Day 2 of the 2022 NFL draft by making the first pick of the second round, and they’ll be in a similar position to start Day 3 on Friday, with the first selection in the fourth round.

After making three picks Friday, the Bucs have a pair of picks in the fourth and seventh rounds to finish off their latest draft class, and there’s still plenty of talent left on the board.

Here are the best available players who could be fits for the Bucs heading into Day 3 of this year’s draft:

A huge corner with rare speed and athleticism for his size (6-4, 205), Woolen is extremely raw in terms of his technique, but you can’t teach those physical traits. The Bucs have two of their top three corners on the final year of their rookie contracts, so adding a young corner who fits their scheme perfectly would be a wise move.

Speaking of size and athleticism, Kolar has plenty of both, at a position where the Bucs might need more immediate help. Even if Rob Gronkowski returns for another year, Tampa Bay has no long-term solution at tight end beyond him and Cameron Brate. Kolar has all the traits to make an immediate impact, and could quickly develop into a dangerous weapon for the Bucs’ passing game.

Oklahoma DL Perrion Winfrey

Even after spending their top pick on an interior defender, don’t count out a double-dip for the Bucs at that spot. Even if Ndamukong Suh returns, it would probably only be for one more year, and Will Gholston is on a one-year deal of his own already. Pairing Winfrey with second-round pick Logan Hall would reload the starting lineup next to Vita Vea for years to come.
