Tariq Woolen should’ve been a lock at this pick, but if Kansas City likes Williams better I’m happy they made a decisive choice. He has all the physical traits a team could want in a starting boundary corner, but he is a totally untested talent that is a wild card at the NFL level.
Great players come out of small schools like Fayetteville State every year, but knowing exactly who they are on the field or what they might be in a few years is a tough task. Given that a premium talent at the position was available, I have a hard time giving this pick a great grade, but rest assured that there is plenty of potential for it to become an A+ if he is as talented as Kansas City believes him to be.
