Grading the Vikings selection of Andrew Booth Jr.

Andrew Booth finds new home in latest mock

After Andrew Booth’s name wasn’t announced on Day 1 of the 2022 NFL draft, it was certain whichever team drafted him in the second round on Day 2 would be getting a steal.

Falling even further than expected after his drop out of the first round, the Minnesota Vikings finally ended Booth’s wait, selecting him No.42 overall in the second round. Many analysts projected Booth to be a lock for the first round; the Vikings should be thrilled with the value.

The guys over at Draft Wire seem to agree with what we’re saying here. Check out what they graded the Vikings pick of Booth.

Via Draft Wire:

After trading back multiple times, the Vikings now move up the board, and with good reason. Booth was the No. 16 overall player on our board, and the Vikings steal him here, filling a big need for the future opposite Cam Dantzler. Learning from Patrick Peterson this season won’t hurt, either.

GRADE: A

The only thing I would change is adding a + next to that A!
