Titans Select Former University of Tennessee Safety Theo Jackson in the Sixth Round (204th Overall) of the NFL Draft

NASHVILLE – The Titans selected former University of Tennessee safety Theo Jackson in the sixth round of Saturday’s NFL Draft.

Jackson, who grew up a Titans fans in Antioch and prepped at Nashville’s John Overton High, was taken with the 204th overall pick.

Jackson said he watched the draft with 60 or 70 family members in Nashville, and it turned into a celebration.

“I am not going to lie to you – I am going through so many emotions right now,” Jackson said after being picked. “It is the best feeling, to grow up in Nashville, to go to school at Tennessee and then come back home for pro ball, it is really … I can’t even think of the words to say right now. I am just so excited and so eager to get to work.”

Jackson (6-2, 203) started 12 games for the Vols in 2021, when he tallied 78 tackles, one interception and 1.5 sacks, along with nine tackles for a loss and 12 quarterbacks hits.
