The wide receiver from Farmington, Michigan has inked a deal to become a professional football player.
Daylen Baldwin came from the class of 2017, but his journey didn’t start at Michigan. His journey started much smaller than the Big House.
Baldwin played two seasons at Morgan State before transferring to now HBCU powerhouse, Jackson State where he played two more seasons. Baldwin came to Michigan as a graduate transfer this past season, and he looked to make an instant impact with the Wolverines.
Things started quite well for the Michigan product, his first game with the maize and blue Baldwin caught a 69-yard touchdown from JJ McCarthy. But the season never quite materialized into what Baldwin and his new team may have thought it would’ve. During the 2021 season, Baldwin caught 17 passes for 256 yards, and two touchdowns during his one-year stint with Michigan.
The six-foot-two physical specimen has signed an undrafted free agent deal with the New York Giants on Sunday. Baldwin will head to New York with former teammate Chris Hinton — who signed with the Giants on Saturday as a UDFA.
