The Baltimore Ravens had one of the best 2022 drafts throughout the entire NFL, securing an impressive 11 player draft class that filled needs on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. They also double dipped at positions, selected best players available, traded away an accomplished player and found value throughout all three days of draft weekend.
Baltimore clearly valued some positions over others, and had a plan that they seemed to execute very well. Every draft will be hectic with surprises thrown at every team here and there, but even so the Ravens came out of the draft as clear winners.
Below we look at five takeaways from Baltimore’s 2022 draft.
The Ravens will use their players all over the field in 2022

Something that Baltimore has done for a while is value players with positional versatility. That didn’t change during the 2022 draft, as they selected multiple prospects that can line up all over the field, whether it be on offense or defense.
Players such as safety Kyle Hamilton, defensive lineman Travis Jones, and tight end Isaiah Likely all fit the bill of players who could move around to multiple different positions throughout the season. The additions of players like Hamilton also makes it easier for the Ravens to play their veterans at different positions, such as safety Chuck Clark
The split between Baltimore and WR Marquise Brown needed to happen

The Ravens moved off of Marquise Brown at the 2022 draft, trading him and pick No. 100 to the Arizona Cardinals in exchange for pick No. 23. It was a move that shocked many around the league, that is until the circumstances behind the deal came out.
