Greg Johnson shares true feelings after not getting UDFA deal

The USC Trojans have a lot of former faces headed for the NFL with minicamp deals, UDFA contracts, and a few that heard their names called during the 2022 NFL draft.

With the draft ending on Saturday, one player who still hadn’t received a contract as of Monday night was defensive back Greg Johnson.

Johnson appeared in 39 games during his USC tenure. He registered 25 starts but always faced an uphill climb to get selected during the draft.

However, not receiving a UDFA deal thus far had Johnson feeling upset, and he let his feelings known with a social media post on Monday.

Johnson said a lot of words in this post and clearly just wants somebody — anybody — to at least give him a shot.

Johnson’s biggest knock is the fact that he has battled injuries throughout his career, so perhaps that’s why teams haven’t taken a chance on him just yet.

Carson Strong out of Nevada went undrafted for injury concerns, and Clemson star wide receiver Justyn Ross also had to wait some time before receiving a UDFA deal for the same reason.

Johnson should, at the very least, earn a minicamp invite, although he was hoping for a better shot with a UDFA deal.
