Potential replacements for 2022 NFL draft picks

What surprised coach Brian Kelly

It was certainly an exciting weekend for LSU football as 10 former players were selected in the 2022 NFL draft and will achieve their dreams of playing at the next level.

Considering the way the 2021 season played out in Baton Rouge, it was certainly an impressive NFL output from the Tigers. Heading into the first season under Brian Kelly in 2022, the next draft class could be even stronger for this team.

Bernard-Converse started 47 consecutive games over four years for the Cowboys, racking up 216 tackles, 23 passes deflected and two interceptions. He may not be quite the game-changer Stingley can be, but his addition should help this defense quite a bit.

Tre’Mond Shorts started 41 of 43 career games at East Tennessee State, becoming an FCS All-American in 2021. A prospect who was recruited way back in 2017, Shorts should assume a leadership position along a young and inexperienced offensive line.
