Philadelphia Stars QB Bryan Scott Issues Statement Following Injury

Last week the Philadelphia Stars were looking to get another win under their belt, unfortunately things took a turn for the worse.

The Stars held the early lead thanks to Bryan Scott, but was forced to come out of the game early due to injury. This was all the Generals needed to begin their comeback and ultimately win the game.

Just now, Bryan Scott has took to social media to issue a statement on the situation.

He starts out by thanking the Stars for the opportunity, and says it’s been “an unbelievable blessing and privilege”. He also thanks the broadcast partners and mentions that the USFL has been first class and it’s been an honor to be a part of.

This is where he drops the big news that he’s “headed home for now” to address the injury. He does say that he’s going to do everything in his power to make it back this season.

This is huge news, and quite sad to say the least. Bryan Scott was the 3rd over all pick in the inaugural USFL Draft. Until the injury, Scott was also leading the league in passing yards.

This is clearly a huge blow to the Philadelphia Stars, but even worse news for all the Bryan Scott fans out there.

There’s still 7 weeks left of regulation, so that leaves a lot of time to get back on the field. We don’t know the full details of his injury, so it’s hard to say if that will be enough time though.

Case Cookus came in for Bryan Scott last week, and it looks like he’ll be getting the start this week when the Stars look to rebound against the Michigan Panthers.

Do you think the Philadelphia Stars can stay productive without Bryan Scott on the field? Do you think we’ll see them sign another quarterback? Let us know your thoughts down in the comments below or join the conversation on Discord.
