Penn State has one solid starter at cornerback with the return of Joey Porter Jr. to the roster in 2022. But the starting spot at the opposite cornerback position is up for grabs, with Hardy being widely considered a leading candidate for the job. But it is far from a given he will end up being the starter paired with Porter Jr. Kalen King, another rising star on defense, is Hardy’s top competition for the vacant starting job on defense, and the decision could come down to the two of these young players on the rise.
