Ravens RB Tyler Badie excited for opportunity with Baltimore

The Baltimore Ravens are coming off an impressive draft that saw the team select numerous prospects lower than where they were anticipated to be picked. They drafted a total of 11 players, with many of them likely having an opportunity to make a Week 1 impact.

Baltimore is currently having their rookies participate in minicamp, which gives the organization a chance to see their latest additions up close. When speaking to the media, sixth-round running back Tyler Badie expressed his excitement to play with the Ravens and quarterback Lamar Jackson.

“It’s just a great opportunity. The first thing that Coach Harbaugh said was, ‘You ready to play with Lamar ?’ I was like, ‘Yeah! Yeah!’ So, I was just really excited just to get the opportunity, get my the door. At the end of the day, that’s all you can wish for – is an opportunity – so I’m grateful to have one.”

The Ravens selected Badie with a need at the running back position after running backs J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards suffered torn ACLs in 2021. Badie will most likely compete with running back Justice Hill for the third spot on the depth chart.

During his four-year collegiate career at Missouri, Badie rushed for 2,740 yards and 23 touchdowns on 513 carries. He has also shown the ability to be a pass-catching back with 1,149 receiving yards and eleven touchdowns on 126 receptions.
