PFF deems Texas’ Quinn Ewers the breakout quarterback for 2022 season

Quinn Ewers

It’s no secret that the Texas Longhorns had a terrific offseason when it comes to acquiring high level talent.

Both via the transfer portal and 2022 recruiting class, Texas will have several new faces stepping into starting roles throughout fall camp. No one has garnered more national attention than Ohio State transfer quarterback Quinn Ewers.

The starting quarterback job at Texas comes with an immense amount of pressure. Ewers has a bit more expectations added on to that due to his former five-star and perfect rating as a recruit.

Although he is currently battling third-year player Hudson Card for the starting job, but many believe it’s Ewers’ job to lose. In fact, several national media sites are already predicting a successful season for the former Buckeye.

Pro Football Focus recently listed their breakout candidates by position on the offensive side of the ball for the 2022 season. Texas had one player mentioned, and I’m sure you can guess who.

Take a look at which talented playmakers to watch for below.
