Ronan Hanafin is a six-foot-three, 205-pound athlete from Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he plays for the Buckingham Browne & Nichols School. The Knights finished last season 7-2.
Brian Kelly isn’t looking to a normal pipeline to find some of the best players in the country. He has found a kid he likes from Massachusetts that he wants, but he’s going to have to swindle him away from Notre Dame.
Film Analysis: Hanafin is a guy who can do it all. He plays wide receiver and strong safety for the Knights and excels at both. He can catch, he can hit, he can block, and he can return kicks and punts. In baseball terms, this guy is a five-tool player. He should have no issues getting on the field wherever he commits to because being that talented at multiple positions will get him early playing time.
