The Cincinnati Bengals started rookie minicamp on the same day they announced their full undrafted free-agent class.
First-round pick Dax Hill and the rest of the draft class were right there with the undrafted names and other tryout players putting in work near Paul Brown Stadium.
The quick rookie camp was an appetizer of sorts for when the rookies join the veterans on Monday.
“It doesn’t go right into OTAs. It’s Phase II. A lot of individual work,” Bengals head coach Taylor said, according to Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com. “It gets them acclimated to the vets as quickly as possible and lets them slowly build up into the OTAs and not overdo things. We don’t want any soft tissue issues. We haven’t been around these guys. We’ll ease them into it and not overdoing it.”
