He may be committed, but 4-star defensive lineman Johnny Bowens hasn’t signed with the Texas A&M Aggies just yet. With that in mind, it seems notable that Bowens will be taking a visit to Eugene this coming weekend to see Matt Powledge, Dan Lanning, and the Oregon Ducks as his recruitment goes on.
Bowens stands at 6-foot-2, 265 pounds, and is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 32 DL in the 2023 class, and No. 139 overall player in the class. He verbally committed to the Aggies on Christmas Day in 2021.
Despite that commitment, Oregon offered Bowens back in February of 2022, and the defender will be taking a trip to the Pacific Northwest this coming weekend. We’ll see what happens from there.
