The junior quarterback proved himself as one of the SEC’s best last year in throwing for 2,676 yards with 21 touchdowns to just four interceptions. He also ran for a team-high 664 yards and six touchdowns.
But it’s the former area, not the latter, that could tell the tale of offense this season for Arkansas football.
treylon burks, perhaps the best wide receiver in school history, is off to the Tennessee Titans. And with Tyson Morris and De’Vion Warren out of eligibility, Arkansas’ leading returning receiver next year, Warren Thompson, had just 19 catches.
Playing time is available out wide. Arkansas has the bodies and potential for an above-average season passing the ball, especially with the introduction of two big pick-ups from the transfer portal and three freshmen in the Class of 2022.

1. Jadon Haselwood
Oklahoma’s Jadon Haselwood (11) can’t complete the catch as Iowa State’s Myles Purchase (15) defends during a college football game between the University of Oklahoma Sooners (OU) and the Iowa State Cyclones at Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman, Okla., Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021. Oklahoma won 28-21.
Last year: 39 catches, 399 yards, 6 TD with Oklahoma
Jadon Haselwood has the inside track to becoming Arkansas’ No. 1 receiver. It might take him a bit, though.
Haselwood transferred from Oklahoma in the offseason and needs time to adjust. His spring camp showed what he’s capable of, but only in limitation as he was still learning. Still, the potential is excellent.
