It’s not often a team talks about a former player the way the Indianapolis Colts have talked about former quarterback Carson Wentz. Wentz spent one season with the Colts before they traded him to the Washington Commanders in March.
Colts’ general manager Chris Ballard has spoken about Wentz multiple times. Indianapolis head coach Frank Reich — a Wentz supporter even after the trade — has spoken about the quarterback. I thought we did some incredible things, came up short at the end. Obviously, I struggled down the stretch there, and timing was poor. But yeah, I didn’t expect that. I didn’t expect things to unfold the way they did, and I thought things were in a pretty good place there.”
Again, Wentz handled a difficult question with class.
Wentz would refute some of the comments about his locker-room issues.
“I had awesome relationships with every single person in that building….
