Packers Player Personnel Executive Lee Gissendaner will represent the Packers at the Stanford-NFL League of Leaders executive education program from June 5-10 on the Stanford University campus.
This program brings together 40 leaders from both the clubs and the league office and is a partnership between the NFL and the Stanford Graduate School of Business. The objective of the executive program is to accelerate the leadership development of the NFL’s senior-level talent.
Gissendaner is entering his 22nd season overall with the Packers and his fifth in his current role. He rejoined the Packers in 2018 after spending three seasons as a national scout for the New York Jets. Gissendaner originally joined Green Bay in 1998 as the team’s representative in the National Scouting Service. In 2001, he was promoted to area scout, a position he worked in until leaving for the Jets in 2015. The former Northwestern University wide receiver was selected in the sixth round of the 1994 NFL Draft by the then-Houston Oilers and spent the 1995 season with the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL and the summer of 1996 with the World League-champion Scottish Claymores. Gissendaner spent part of the 1996 season on the practice squad of the Minnesota Vikings. His post-football career began as a graduate assistant coach at Kent State University in 1997 while he was earning his master’s degree in sports administration.
