Don Warren spent his entire 14-year NFL career with the Washington Redskins. Warren was a part of all three of Washington’s Super Bowl championship teams.
After retirement, Warren eventually decided to go into scouting. Naturally, his first job was with Washington, where he spent four years as a scout before moving on to the Carolina Panthers in 2010. Warren spent nine seasons with the Panthers, and when Ron Rivera was hired as Washington’s head coach in 2020, he brought Warren with him as a senior scout.
On Monday, Neil Stratton broke the news that Warren was retiring from the NFL for a second time, and this week would be his last as a scout for the Commanders.
Warren, 66, was a fourth-round pick out of San Diego State in 1979 by Washington. In 14 seasons with the Redskins, Warren appeared in 193 games and had 244 receptions for 2,536 yards and seven touchdowns.
Warren was named as one of the 80 Greatest Redskins.
