Jake Guarnera breaks down his recent offer from Rutgers football

Jake Guarnera pulled down his second offer from a Big Ten football program last week when Rutgers football got involved with the class of 2024 offensive lineman from Ponte Vedra High School (Ponte Vedra, FL).

Listed as a 6-foot-4, 275-pound offensive lineman, Rutgers is his second Power Five offer and second offer from a Big Ten program. Earlier this year, Penn State football offered Guarnera.

His three current offers now stand at Penn State, Rutgers and South Florida. But more could be on the way.

It will be a busy summer for the sophomore offensive lineman.

Guarnera will hit Wake Forest, North Carolina and Florida State in early June followed by Virginia and Virginia Tech. Then in mid-June, he will be going SEC with trips to Florida, South Carolina and Alabama.

Then on June 24 and June 25, he will visit Penn State and Rutgers.

He is also starting to hear from Tennessee.

Why all the interest? Guarnera is lining up to be one of the top offensive linemen in the nation in the 2024 recruiting class. After his freshman season, Guanera played in the Football University Freshman All-American Bowl.

His father was Jim Guarnera, who played for Rutgers in the 1990s as a defensive lineman.

Check out what the Florida standout has to say about getting his recent offer from Rutgers football head coach Greg Schiano as well as where things stand with Penn State and head coach James Franklin.

Jake Guarnera on how he landed the Rutgers football offer

“So the staff does this thing where we hop on a Webex, which is kinda like a Zoom call, and we talk with the o-line coaches and coach Harasymiak, who is the recruiter for my area. So coach Schiano joined and spoke a little then extended me an offer.”

Jake Guarnera on what the Rutgers football offer meant for him personally
