Seahawks Sign First-Round Pick Charles Cross

The Seahawks signed offensive tackle Charles Cross, making the first-round pick the sixth of Seattle’s nine 2022 draft picks to sign his rookie deal.

Cross, the No. 9 overall pick, is Seattle’s highest-selected player since left tackle Russell Okung in 2010, and like Okung elected to do later in his career, Cross is acting as his own agent.

Cross, like all draft picks, signed a four-year deal, and as a first-round pick, the Seahawks have a fifth-year option they can choose to exercise after his third season.

With Cross signing, the only draft picks still unsigned are second-round picks Boye Mafe and Kenneth Walker III, and fourth-round pick Coby Bryant. The Seahawks signed fifth-round picks Tyreke Smith and Tariq Woolen and seventh-round picks Bo Melton and Dareke Young in early May prior to rookie minicamp, and signed third-round pick Abraham Lucas last week.
