Bryan Scott, first round pick by Bart Andrus for the Philadelphia Stars, has officially been sidelined for the rest of the year. While it seemed inevitable, we now have confirmation that he will sit out the remainder of the USFL’s 2022 season.

With the inaugural season nearing an end, this simply makes sense. Scott went down in week three with a knee injury, while playing the New Jersey Generals. Scott had released a statement on the situation after it happened, letting fans know that he was out for the foreseeable future.

While we were hopeful that Scott could return this year, unfortunately that possibility is no longer on the table. Considering the season is coming to a close, there is no reason for Scott to risk further injury by rushing back.
Scott suffered a knee injury in week three, while playing the New Jersey Generals. After much time and consideration, the decision was made to sit him out for the remainder of the year, to prevent further risk of injury.

The Philadelphia Stars clinched the playoffs this past week, defeating the Michigan Panthers 46-24. Case Cookus has taken over in Scott’s absence, leading the team to a 4-2 record in that span. Now that Scott’s injury will keep him out indefinitely, Cookus will be the general for Bart Andrus’ offense to finish out the 2022 season.

Before Bryan Scott went down with the injury, he was playing extremely well. Scott led the league in passing yards and touchdowns through week two, performing at an MVP-caliber level.
