The arms race to have the best facilities in college football continues. Fresh off winning a national championship, the University of Georgia continues to invest heavily to ensure Georgia football and head Kirby Smart have top notch facilities.
Why do programs invest so heavily in constantly upgrading facilities? Teams like Georgia need to do so to keep up with the rest of the SEC. Additionally, state of the art facilities serve as a recruiting tool for top talent like Arch Manning, Caleb Downs, and other top ranked prospects.
Head coach Kirby Smart, linebacker Nolan Smith and former head coach Vince Dooley were among those who attended the dedication and ribbon cutting event for the updated facility. Georgia football’s Butts-Mehre Heritage Hall recently underwent an expansion and renovation project.
Georgia football’s new facilities feature an improved weight room, training room, new film rooms, and a few shiny new trophies.
