Rutgers football lands Ohio three-star Dominic Rivera

Rutgers football is on a roll on the recruiting trail, landing a commitment on Monday night from Ohio offensive tackle Dominic Rivera.

The 6-foot-7, 310-pound Rivera was offered by Rutgers in late February. The class of 2023 recruit held several Power Five offers including Iowa State as well as both Boston College and Syracuse. The two ACC program offered Rivera in May.

Rivera is a standout left tackle for Olmstead Falls (Olmstead, OH). He is ranked the No. 26 prospect in Ohio according to 247Sports.

Last recruiting cycle, Rutgers landed another Ohio offensive lineman, Kwabena Asamoah.

Rivera is the fourth commitment Rutgers football has received since Sunday afternoon. All four of the commitments were on the official visit over the weekend.

On Sunday, Rutgers got three commitments with two coming almost immediately after Sunday’s official visits were wrapped up (Massachusetts wide receiver Jesse Ofurie and Florida offensive lineman Mozell Williams).

Then on Sunday night, Rutgers got another commitment from a Florida recruit with three-star linebacker Abram Wright giving his verbal.
