Carson Palmer allows Jordan Addison to wear his No. 3 at USC

Jordan Addison officially in the portal; USC, Pitt wait for next move

The USC Trojan football team landed one of the biggest transfers in the offseason by snagging Pittsburgh wide receiver Jordan Addison.

After months and months of controversy, the Fred Biletnikoff Award winner made it official by choosing the Trojans.

The hype is here, and the excitement is brewing with the loaded QB-WR duo of Caleb Williams and Addison.

Addison sported his new USC jersey number, and it is one that used to belong to legendary USC QB Carson Palmer.

That’s right, Addison posted a picture on his Instagram with the No. 3 jersey, and everybody went crazy at the sight. NFL Wire took note of this development.

Here it is.

The No. 3 jersey was retired by the Trojans, so Addison sporting it is a massive surprise. However, Palmer must have given Addison the go-ahead to wear it.

This is a huge deal, and Palmer allowing Addison to wear that number shows how much the former QB thinks of Addison. Plus, that is the number Addison wore at Pittsburgh.

USC athletic director Mike Bohn answered everybody’s question and said Palmer is fine with Addison using the number.

Addison has a lot to prove, and Palmer allowing him to use this jersey number is a form of pressure. But, the former Pitt star should have no problem being one of the best wide receivers in college football next season, and there is a very realistic chance he is a top-10 pick in the 2023 NFL draft.
