College football recruiting profile: Ta’Mere Robinson

Former Penn State RB Gary Brown passes at age 52

When Penn State head coach James Franklin took the job in Happy Valley, one of his first goals was to dominate the state on the recruiting trail. In the Class of 2023, Franklin has been focusing plenty of effort on a recruiting target from Pittsburgh that could be a big asset on the defensive side of the football at either linebacker or defensive end in Ta’Mere Robinson.

Penn State has been heavily involved in recruiting Robinson for years, even before the start of the pandemic, and Robinson is trending toward a possible Penn State commitment. Robinson will announce his college decision in mid-July, and Penn State’s long-term recruiting effort may be about to pay off as a result.

Here is a look at Robinson, who Penn State hopes to be adding to its Class of 2023 this summer.
