Northwestern opens the season against Nebraska on Aug. 27. The Cornhuskers are currently 12.5-point favorites and -540 on the money line according to Tipico Sportsbook.
This opening-week special will kickoff from Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland, at 11:30 a.m. CST on FOX. The all-time series favors Nebraska 9-6 over Northwestern and the Huskers blew out the Wildcats last season in Lincoln, 56-7.
Wyoming (+10.5) at Illinois (-10.5) – 3 p.m., BTN

After a 5-7 overall mark and 4-5 mark in Big Ten play in 2021, Illinois opens up its 2022 season in Champaign on Aug. 27 at 3 p.m. on Big Ten Network as a 10.5-point favorite over Wyoming. This represents the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
Penn State (-3.5) at Purdue (+3.5) – 7 p.m., FOX

In what will be a nice early indication of which one of these two are Big Ten contenders or pretenders, Penn State travels to Purdue right out of the season’s opening gates on Thursday, Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. on FOX.
